Niamh Sauter-Cooke

Writer | Director 

Niamh Sauter-Cooke is an Irish-German writer/director based in Berlin, Germany. 
 
She studied Film and Television Production at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and holds degrees in Social Anthropology (BA) and Film and Screen Studies (MPhil) from the University of Cambridge. Her most recent short film Die Verdorbene / A Rotten Woman premiered internationally at SXSW Film and TV Festival in March 2024. Alongside her fictional work, she also produces and directs TV documentaries for the German production company blindCat documentary. 
 
She is interested in power imbalances, strong emotions, and the relationship between humans and nature.
